Product Details:

Refrigerated air dryers remove water from the air stream by cooling the air to approximately 3° C and effectively condensing out the moisture in a controlled environment. Refrigerated dryers employ two heat exchangers, one for air-to-air and one for air-to-refrigeration gas.

The saturated compressed air is pre-cooled in the Pre-cooler/Re-heater by the outgoing cooled dry air without any additional use of energy. This is further cooled to the pressure dew point temperature in the evaporator with the help of refrigerant gas. The cooled air loses its capacity to hold the water vapour and resulting in moisture condensation. The excess vapor is removed from the air by a moisture separator and Automatic drain valve

Desiccant dryers, sometimes also known as absorption dryers, operate by absorbing water vapor into a porous media with a high affinity for water. Desiccant air dryers work on mass transfer principle. Desiccant dryers have two vertical towers filled with highly hygroscopic media (desiccant). The wet air coming into the dryer is passed through the towers filled with the desiccant. This desiccant material attracts the water from the compressed air via adsorption. As the water holds on to the desiccant, the desiccant "bed" becomes saturated. When the media in the first tank becomes saturated, the air stream is automatically redirected through the second tank. A portion of dry air coming from the second tower is diverted into the first tower to regenerate the saturated desiccant and prepare it for the next cycle. The diverted air is purged out of the dryer.
